Academia Berceo was founded in 1994 and uses a targeted approach that focuses on social interaction and communication during the language course. The school is located in the center of Salamanca and has a beautiful building with tiled floors and bold colors.
The pleasant atmosphere in the language school is enhanced by the skilled and friendly teachers, all of whom speak Spanish as their mother tongue. They are committed to helping with the wishes of every student. With no more than 10 students per group, the classes are small, making everyone feel comfortable and accepted.
The school is centrally located, just a 5-minute walk from Plaza Mayor. In addition, Academia Berceo offers many different cultural and social activities, some of which are free and others paid. From museum tours to nature walks around Salamanca, dance classes and sports, there is plenty to do for everyone.

The teachers are creating an easygoing, fun learning atmosphere and due to the small sizes of the classes you will be able to improve your oral expression skills a lot.
A plus is that... I enjoyed my two weeks in the Academia Berceo a lot! The staff and teachers are super nice and the school offers after class activities as well as weekend activities for the students. These make it even easier to connect with other students.

A plus is that Berceo offers the opportunity to book a small room close to the language school for a fair price.

I honestly can’t put into words the experience I had with Berceo. I arrived speaking a little, but by no means a great deal of... Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to the staff, and now friends of Berceo for a such a fantastic experience, so thank you!!

I honestly can’t put into words the experience I had with Berceo. I arrived speaking a little, but by no means a great deal of Spanish, having studied it largely through Duolingo and as a first year university module. Within the 3 months that I was here though, I progressed quickly across the different skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking and comprehension) due to the easy going and relaxed atmosphere of the school. The materials used are pretty decent, and the classroom sizes are generally quite small so you get more attention placed on your personal needs.
There are a whole host of events that are organised by the school also, some of which are listed on the website (say hi to Alvaro for me!).
My only gripe is that there isn’t an onsite coffee machine, but then there would be no point in going to Gavi’s cafe around the corner, where you can continue to chat to the teachers outside of a classroom setting, so no problem!
Loved very second being with the school and I hope to see them again soon!
